About Me.

Hi. My name is Kelley Heider and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the Denver/Boulder area. I’m a graduate of the Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy Program at Naropa University where we spent weeks on intensives learning, hiking, and camping in the back country of Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. I bring nature, mindfulness, experiential learning, and the transpersonal into my work with clients.

Prior to my career in mental health counseling, I worked for nearly twenty years in PR and marketing primarily in the publishing and tech industries. In that experience, I was able to develop my skills of leadership and mentorship. I was also exposed to hundreds of people from different walks of life and cultivated my ability to deeply listen and meet people where they are.

I typically work with teen and adult clients who struggle with self-identity and self-esteem following trauma related to their relationships or family. My goal is to deepen self-awareness, foster personal empowerment, and improve interpersonal relationships by healing relationship to self.

I’m an eclectic therapist because I believe in the power of shifting perspectives to deepen self-awareness. I generally do attachment-based work, IFS, somatic, expressive, DBT, and mindfulness. I prefer to move with my clients on their journey, meeting them with creativity and new concepts as we go to keep the work alive.

I practice non-judgement and unconditional loving presence with my clients. I would love to hear from you if you feel inspired to make a connection.
